Writer Ryan Knighton visit’s Japan’s Noto Peninsula a year after the region’s earthquake, and finds an enduring bounty of food and craft.

Inspired by the philosophy of wabi-sabi this layout follows a loose, top-hanging grid, allowing the photos to shine. The section breaks are icons which were taken from items within their section, designed to follow the same design language of the fonts.
